This paper will aim to examine two types of evidenced-based interventions available for children who have been exposed to intimate partner violence and have developed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result. The analysis provided for this paper is based on the studies provided by Community Treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder for Children Exposed to Intimate Partner Violence: A Randomized Controlled Trial (2011) as well as Toward Evidence-based Treatment: Child-parent Psychotherapy with Preschoolers Exposed to Marital Violence (2005).
